Using Trial Law Experience To Protect Individuals And Families
From childhood on, I knew I wanted to be a lawyer, specifically a trial lawyer. I got started on that early, while interning at the district attorney’s office during law school. This gave me my first experience with trial law, and I knew I wanted to be part of that world.
I enjoy complex, multifaceted areas of law such as criminal defense. Untangling the narratives, determining the facts and then building a case strategy is one of my strengths. Whether it involves protecting a client’s time with their children or keeping a client out of jail, I can put together a strong case. While many cases are resolved through negotiation or mediation, I am always ready to take a case to trial when that is the right course of action.

Seeing The Whole Picture
In criminal defense, almost every client I represent is experiencing outside issues that affect their case. Criminal defenseoften intersect, as can other circumstances that play a role in peoples’ lives, such as addiction or family violence. I take all of this information into account when I am working to resolve a case.
In addition, I make sure my clients fully understand all of their options before they make a decision about how to move forward. Sometimes, what seems like the easy option today is not the right decision for the future. I help people understand that so they can see the big picture, too.
